RTL: Can You See What I See: Seymour And The Juice Box Boat

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Author: Walter Wick
Islamically Appropriate?: Yes
Genre: Fiction
Book Format: Picture Book
Age Group: 3-5 years old
Book Review: The co-author of the I Spy series also has two books that may appeal specifically to children three to five years old. In this find-and-seek storybook, children enjoy the adventures of Seymour, a little toy man. The rhyming poems are written in rebus format and are short and appropriate for early/beginning readers. Each page is a visual adventure all by itself but unlike the original I Spy series for older children, the pages of Seymour and the Juice Box Boat are not visually overwhelming for young readers. There are just enough objects on each page to challenge young readers but not so many that they cannot find the objects they are seeking. The second book in this series,Can You See What I See?: Seymour Makes New Friends, will be reviewed soon insha'Allaah.

Until the next read insha'Allaah....
