Today we read Find the Teddy
This is a fun board book that infants and young toddlers may enjoy. With Find the Teddy, parents/teachers/caregivers can help young infants and toddlers hone their observation skills and encourage problem solving questioning and conversation/discussion as well insha'Allaah.
On each page, there is one line of text at the top that describes what is happening in the picture. The line of text on the bottom of the page asks children if they can find teddy in the scene? The scant amount of text is helpful for allowing children to focus on locating teddy in the array of objects in the scene.
At the end of the book children are given a short list of other objects and encouraged to try to find them in the book as well. They are also given a brief counting activity to enjoy. Toddlers 24 months and older may also enjoy the practical life activity from this post which uses teddy bears to introduce early counting skills.
